Youth Savings

  • The Youth Savings program is designed to promote financial education and growth for children with a Share Bear account, up to 12 years old, and a Teen Advantage account, 13 to 17 years old.

  • An initial deposit of $5.00 is required plus a $1.00 membership fee to open an account.

  • A birth certificate and social security card are required for the child.

  • For newborns, we will deposit the first $5.00 to open the account. The newborn will receive an ID card at the time of opening the account.

  • A quarterly statement will be mailed, or an E-statement can be arranged.

  • A birthday card will be mailed each birthday and $1.00 will be deposited into the youth member’s savings Share Bear account.

Youth Checking

  • Must be sixteen years old

  • The first order of checks will be free.

  • The account is approved on a 3 month trial basis, if there are any overdrafts, fees or bounced checks the account will be closed.

Certificate Of Deposit's --- A GREAT BIRTHDAY IDEA!

Money deposited in a Certificate Of Deposit cannot be withdrawn for a year. 

  • We offer a 1-year Certificate Of Deposit.

  • $5 must remain in the account in addition to the amount deposited for the Certificate Of Deposit.

  • Minimum deposit required is $100.00.

Incentive Award Programs

Good Grades Program

Bring your report card into the Credit Union at the end of the school year and all youth members (Pre-K through 12th grade) will receive a cash reward for their hard work all year long!

  • For each grade of "A" or "E" (excellent) that is achieved, we will deposit $2 into the youth member's account.

  • For each grade of "B" or "S" (satisfactory) that is achieved, we will deposit $1 into the youth member's account.

A maximum limit of $10.00 per youth member applies. Only core classes are eligible for the reward. These include math, science, social studies, English, and foreign language classes only.
